For Admission to the degree Programme,candidates must:

Have completed their secondary education and obtained the qualification giving acces to University in their own country.

Have completed a two year philosophy programme at a level judged satisfactory by the Admissions Committee;

Have sufficient knowledge of English to be able to participate in the Courses with profit from the beginning (a reading knowledge of French is desirable)

Present a recommendation in writing from their Ordinary if they are students for the priesthood;other students must be suitably recommended in writing.

Exceptionally,students may be admitted to the program  who lack the fullness of the required qualification in philosophy,or its equivalent.In such a case,the student must have an average grade of B at the end of the first year so that they are registered into full membership of the Degree programme and on its successful completion,to the same academic award as those who fulfilled all the requirements at the time of admission.Otherwise they will be awarded a Certificate in Theology on the successful completion of their studies.

A limited number of students may be admitted to the certificate course in Theology in preparation for ordination,either because they do not wish to study the degree level course or because they are not qualified to do so.Such students study the same course as the degree level students,with minor exceptions,but the standard of assesment in examination is less stringent.

The Admissions Committee shall be the final judge of the sufficiency of a candidate’s qualification’ for entry to the degree level programmeaccording to the above norms,or to the certificate course.
Enquiries  about admission are made to the office of the registrar,from whom application forms might be requested.These should be returned by the end of February 15th in the relevant year,together with certified transcripts in Philosophy studies and other transcripts for the studiespursuid since leaving high school.
Registration takes place durig the first week of the Academic Year.
